The name Hesa comes from the Balinese word for intention. Every detail here is intentional — the sequence of treatments, the temperature of the pools, the products, the care of our team. Nothing is arbitrary. Everything is in service of that feeling: nurtured, restored, born again.
About the founders
At the heart of Hesa Wellness Spa are Dewa and Ayu — a husband-and-wife team who turned years of experience and a shared dream into a space dedicated to genuine care and exceptional service.
Dewa brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His journey began in hotels, later expanding into villa management and private tours across Bali. Naturally warm and personable, he has a deep love for meeting people, sharing Balinese culture, and creating meaningful connections. At Hesa, he oversees all operations — from daily logistics to facilities and systems — making sure everything works seamlessly behind the scenes.
Ayu brings 17 years of experience in Bali's spa industry. Starting her career as a host, she has grown into a leader who now manages and nurtures the entire team at Hesa. Known for her genuine warmth, attention to detail, and ability to make both guests and staff feel truly welcome, she has personally trained every team member — setting a high standard for service, care, and hospitality.
Together, Dewa and Ayu have created more than a spa — they have brought to life a long-held vision. By combining their expertise, passion, and commitment to excellence, they have built a place where every detail is thoughtful, every guest feels cared for, and every experience reflects the best of what they have learned over the years.
