Your body opens up in the heat before anything else touches it. Steam room first, then the pools, then the hot pool to deepen the warmth. By the time you lie down for the scrub, your skin is fully prepared.

Korean body scrub — traditional Italy towel
A textured mitt called an Italy towel is worked across your entire body in firm, rhythmic strokes. You'll actually see the dead skin rolling off — weeks of accumulation that daily showering can't reach. The result is a completely fresh layer of skin underneath.

Bubble massage + hair wash
Warm foam is built up and worked across the body in long, soothing passes. Simultaneously, your hair is washed and conditioned with natural Sensatia Botanica products. It's one of the more unusual and deeply relaxing experiences in the sequence.

Avocado body wrap
A nourishing avocado mask is applied to the newly exfoliated skin and left to absorb. The timing is intentional — freshly exfoliated skin absorbs nutrients at a fraction of the usual time.

A complete facial using natural products — cleanse, exfoliate, mask, and moisturise. Your face receives the same quality of care as your body throughout the session.

Balinese massage
The sequence closes with a full 60-minute Balinese massage — rhythmic strokes, acupressure, and skin rolling. By this point your muscles are warm, your skin is fresh, and the massage reaches deeper than it otherwise could. A signature experience at our Ubud, Bali spa.

Does the Korean scrub hurt?
No — though it's firmer than a regular massage. The Italy towel exfoliates through friction rather than pressure. Most guests find it unusual at first and deeply satisfying once they understand what's happening. If it's ever too firm, just let your therapist know.
Will I actually see dead skin coming off?
Yes. It's one of the more surprising parts of the experience. The dead skin rolls off visibly as the mitt works across your body. It's a clear sign of how much the steam room preparation matters.
Can couples book Korean Zen together?
Yes — all our treatments are designed for couples. You'll be treated side by side by two therapists simultaneously.
What should I wear?
Bring a swimsuit. We provide towels, sarongs, and all toiletries. Locker, hair dryer, and a plastic bag for your wet swimsuit are all available.
Can I customise the sequence?
Yes — modifications are possible as long as the total treatment time stays consistent. Add a foot massage, swap the facial for an extra massage segment, or extend a step. Just mention it in your booking notes.
