Steam Room
Ubud, Bali
Steam at 42–46°C, with views over the hot and cold plunge pools. The first step of every visit — and one of the most restorative spaces in Ubud.

Where every session begins.
Our steam room is spacious enough for couples and small groups, maintained at 42–46°C, with views over both plunge pools. The windows look out over both plunge pools — so you can see where you're heading while you warm up.
It's not a sauna. Steam operates differently — the moist heat penetrates more deeply than dry heat, opens pores more effectively, and feels gentler at higher temperatures. Guests who've tried both consistently prefer steam for relaxation and skin preparation.
Six reasons the steam room isn't optional.
Pore opening
Steam heat opens pores fully, allowing the Korean scrub or Boreh treatment that follows to penetrate far more effectively. Skipping the steam means getting significantly less from your treatment.
Muscle preparation
Steam warms muscle tissue from the outside, reducing tension before massage begins. Therapists consistently report being able to work more deeply on guests who've steamed first.
Respiratory benefit
Inhaling warm, moist air clears the airways and sinuses. The steam room actively supports respiratory health.
Detoxification
Sweating in humid heat is one of the body's primary detox mechanisms. 15 minutes in the steam room produces more passive detoxification than a full hour of moderate exercise.
Stress relief
Heat exposure reduces cortisol levels measurably. The sensory combination of warmth and the sound of water creates an environment where the nervous system genuinely downregulates.
Skin hydration
Unlike dry sauna, steam actively hydrates the skin while cleansing it. Guests who steam before their facial treatment consistently see better results — the skin is already prepared to receive.

Heat with purpose.
Steam has been used in healing traditions for centuries — from Turkish hammams to Korean bathhouses. The moist heat has mild antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and mood-lifting properties that prepare the body for treatment.
The steam room brings this philosophy into the first moment of your visit, before any treatment has begun. It's the opening ritual that makes everything after it more effective.
About the steam room
What's the difference between a steam room and a sauna?
A sauna uses dry heat (typically 70–100°C) and low humidity. A steam room uses moist heat (42–46°C) and near-100% humidity. The moist heat penetrates more deeply at lower temperatures, feels gentler, hydrates the skin rather than drying it, and is more effective for pore opening and respiratory benefit. We have a steam room — not a dry sauna.
How long should I stay in the steam room?
10–15 minutes is the recommended time before transitioning to the hot or cold pool. In a standalone facilities session, you can return between plunge cycles — most guests do 2–3 steam rounds across a 2-hour visit.
Is the steam room included in treatments?
Yes — 30 minutes of facilities access (steam room, hot pool, and cold pool) is included with every treatment booking, for light preparation or a short post-treatment session. For the full contrast therapy experience with multiple rounds (hot plunge → cold plunge → steam → repeat), book standalone facilities access (2 hours).
Is the steam room suitable for people with sensitivities?
Our steam room uses clean, filtered water with no added fragrances or chemicals. If you have any specific health concerns, please let us know when booking and our team can advise.
Can I use the steam room without a treatment?
Yes. Standalone facilities access (steam room, hot pool, cold pool) is IDR 300,000 +10% VAT for 2 full hours with multiple rounds of contrast therapy — hot plunge, cold plunge, steam, repeat. Last booking is 6:30 PM. Book here →
