At Hesa Spa in Ubud, Bali, we believe in the profound connection between physical wellness and emotional health. We have developed a therapeutic plan using our facilities to support emotional balance and inner peace -- a gentle, natural complement to professional mental health care.

The Hesa Therapeutic Plan

Step 1: Hot Plunge (10 minutes)

Begin in the hot plunge pool at 39--41 degrees Celsius. The warm water releases physical tension stored in the body, stimulates the production of endorphins -- your body's natural mood elevators -- and promotes an immediate sense of comfort and well-being.

Step 2: Cold Plunge (1 minute)

Move to the cold plunge pool at 7--10 degrees Celsius. This brief immersion invigorates your senses, increases alertness, and uplifts your mood. The cold triggers a rush of noradrenaline -- a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in attention, focus, and emotional regulation.

Step 3: Steam Room (15 minutes)

Complete each cycle in the steam room at 42--46 degrees Celsius. The enveloping warmth promotes deep relaxation, calms the mind, and eases the weight of stress and worry. The quiet, meditative environment allows space for mental stillness.

Repeat for 3 Sets

Complete this sequence three times. With each cycle, the cumulative effect deepens -- your body releases more tension, your mood lifts further, and your mind settles into a calmer, more balanced state.

A Holistic Approach

The combination of temperature variation, sensory stimulation, and meditative stillness creates a powerful experience for emotional wellness. Many guests describe leaving their sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more at peace.

Consider enhancing your experience with a Balinese massage or our Harmonic Balance treatment, both designed to promote deep relaxation and emotional restoration.

Important: Contrast therapy is designed to complement -- not replace -- professional mental health care. If you are experiencing depression, please seek support from a qualified mental health provider for a comprehensive treatment plan. You are not alone, and help is available.
