Recovering from an injury can be a slow and frustrating process. At Hesa Spa, we have curated a contrast therapy plan to support your body's natural healing using our Hot Plunge, Cold Plunge, and Steam Room.
The Hesa Recovery Plan
Step 1: Hot Plunge (10 minutes)
Begin in the hot plunge pool at 39--41 degrees Celsius. The warmth relaxes surrounding muscles, promotes blood flow to the injured area, and helps reduce inflammation. Increased circulation brings oxygen and nutrients essential for tissue repair.
Step 2: Cold Plunge (1 minute)
Move to the cold plunge pool at 7--10 degrees Celsius. The cold reduces swelling by constricting blood vessels, numbs nerve endings to support pain relief, and helps prevent further tissue damage. Keep the immersion brief but intentional.
Step 3: Steam Room (15 minutes)
Complete each cycle in the steam room at 42--46 degrees Celsius. The moist heat improves joint mobility, promotes detoxification through sweating, and deeply relaxes the muscles surrounding the injured area to reduce compensatory tension.
Repeat for 3 Sets
Complete the hot-cold-steam cycle three times for the full recovery benefit. Each round builds on the previous one, progressively improving blood flow, reducing swelling, and promoting the body's natural repair mechanisms.
Supporting Your Recovery Journey
Contrast therapy works best as part of a comprehensive recovery approach. Continue to follow prescribed rehabilitation exercises from your healthcare provider, maintain proper nutrition, and allow adequate rest between sessions.
For additional support, consider our Balinese massage to address muscle tension around the injury site, or explore our full treatment menu for a holistic healing experience.
Important: Always consult with your healthcare provider before beginning contrast therapy for injury recovery. This plan is designed to complement -- not replace -- professional medical treatment.
